CityDoc to Launch Telemedicine Portal
CityDoc Urgent Care will be introducing a telemedicine portal feature to their service offering this winter. Video Visit is a convenient way for patients to consult with CityDoc providers for minor care from the comfort of their own home. After establishing an account on the portal, patients will request a day and time, and after confirmed, will be placed in a virtual lobby for a visit with the provider at the appropriate time. Most major insurance is accepted and if the patient is without insurance an affordable self-pay fee schedule is available. All major credit cards will be accepted. Any fee paid towards a Video Visit is credited towards an in-person visit in the event that the patient’s condition is to complex and requires a visit to one of the CityDoc clinics. Not all symptoms are appropriate for a telemedicine visit and CityDoc will post clear guidelines for conditions that satisfy the telemedicine criteria. Telemedicine is not for emergency situations and CityDoc encourages patients to dial 911 for anything they deem as life- or limb-threatening.
